Diary Entry - Day 2, Vocational Student, London Contemporary Dance School, Bridget Lappin, Tuesday 12th April 2011

This morning we came in very, very sore, with torn up feet and bruises everywhere, and ready to get going again.  We started off playing with different ways to manipulate the girls’ hair, first with the blow-dryers and then with the girls manipulating it themselves.  While the girls were working with their hair, the boys developed a section where they were essentially fighting with the audience. Both tasks have proved to be very draining and we are all dreading how our bodies might feel tomorrow. However, the best thing about today is that we structured the whole piece; draft one is complete. It came as a bit of a shock that we virtually already had a piece, however given the amount of material we created yesterday and some today, it makes sense that it came together quickly.
